50th Kidneyversary Walk
When:
Events
My name is Larry Kreklewich. I was born and raised in Melville – I went to school here, married and raised my family here, worked here for my entire life and now enjoy my retirement in my hometown.
In 1974 I received a kidney transplant that gave me a new lease on life. In fact, it gave me 50 years of life! It is a blessing that I cannot put into words.
My wife Beverley and I are hosting a walk of awareness on this, the 50th anniversary of my kidney transplant. We plan to celebrate and raise awareness of the need for organ and tissue donations in Canada.
Our “Transplant Trot” is taking place on Sunday, June 9, at 10:00 am at Melville Community Works. We will have 3km and 5 km walks mapped out, led off with a few brief words about the event, then closing with some refreshments and socializing when the walk is complete.

We are asking your support today for this milestone event.
The gift of life was given to me, and now I want to help spread the word so others may enjoy this same gift as well.
Please help us get the word out! Additionally, please feel welcome to wear green (the color of organ donation awareness) and come join us on June 9.
To register for the event, visit http://www.canadiantransplant.com/.../larrys-50th... or you can register in-person at the event on June 9. Fees are $10/adult, $5/child.
