City of Melville Tree Program 2017

Flowering Crab TreeGREEN MELVILLE

This is a program where community groups and organizations can volunteer to plant trees in pre-selected locations around Melville.  Selected groups will then receive a monetary donation from the City for their contributions. The community tree-planting day is scheduled for June 10, 2017. This can be an excellent fundraiser for your sports team, community organization or club.

Amur Maple Tree

If your street frontage property lacks a boulevard tree then you have the opportunity to get up to two FREE trees to be planted along the street. You will need to pledge to plant, water and take care of the tree for its first 5 years.  These selected trees (approx. 3-5 feet tall) will be boulevard friendly ensuring that buried or overhead utilities will not be affected. Trees will become available this spring on a first come first serve basis.
