The City of Melville is hosting a Summer photography contest! All age’s and experiences are encouraged to participate. There are 5 categories to enter your photo’s in, however, continue using the hashtag #seemelville throughout the year to have your photo featured on the City of Melville's social media pages. Melville is a beautiful community with so much character and we want the public to show us their favorite parts of the city through photographs. Rules are listed below, and we cannot wait to see what everyone submits!

Categories

• 16 & Under (Kids 16 and under can submit to this category. They can photograph any of the categories listed below or something else they love about Melville.)
• Candid (We want to see people living in Melville and enjoying what the city has to offer. Things like playing with your dog in the dog park, running through the spray park, enjoying a snack in a small business, etc.)
• Landscape (Any type of landscape/ scenery photo in or around Melville; sunset at the dam, busy day at the post office, regional park, etc.)
• Small Business (Show support for our smaller businesses in Melville by photographing the best parts of them and telling a story of their business.)
• Fan Favorite (This category gives a lot of freedom for you to photograph whatever part of Melville you like, however you would like. The public will choose their favorite one submitted!)

Rules

• Anyone passing through Melville, living in Melville, has lived in Melville, or has a photo they love of Melville can participate.
• Any age can enter the contest.
• The winner of each category will receive a $100 gift certificate to a business in Melville of their choice.
• There can be multiple submissions per person in any category that applies to increase chances of winning, however, an individual can only win up to one category.
• Photo’s submitted must be original photos.
• Any type of camera can be used (phone, DSLR, Mirrorless, etc.).
• Voting will happen anonymously, online by the public.
• Photo’s must be submitted by July 5^th at 3:00 p.m. and judging will end on July 12^th. Results will be announced shortly after.
• Photo’s can be submitted either by emailing tourism@melville.ca or posting them on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #seemelville
• Photo’s can be edited or not, however, must be submitted as a JPG file. 
• The photograph can have whatever dimensions.
• By submitting photo’s, you are allowing Tourism Melville to use the photograph wherever they choose, credit will always be given to the photographer.
• If any photograph contains someone's face, a release form must be signed and submitted with the photo. If a release form is not signed, the photo will be disqualified. Release forms can be found linked below.
