City of Melville Special Needs Van
Request for Proposal
 

The City of Melville is requesting proposals from potential contractors to provide the service of the operation of the Special Needs Van for the transportation of persons in the City.  Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling trips Monday through Friday including all statutory holidays and planning the route of travel throughout the City. 
  • Providing qualified drivers for the van service possessing a Class 4 Drivers License or better as well as a Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Keeping records of all trips made and collection of fees to turn over to the City.
  • Assuring that the van is properly maintained and kept in a safe premise when not in service.

The Request for Proposal package is available at City Hall or online at www.melville.ca.  Proposals must be submitted in person or by mail in a sealed envelope plainly marked:

Proposal closing date is 4:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, November 14, 2018.  Proposals received after this time will not be considered regardless of the reason for being late and will be returned to the bidder unopened.  Any questions may be directed to City Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday at (306)728-6840.
