1. Visit the Melville Dam

The Trans Canada Trail runs right through the downtown core of Melville and out into the scenic Regional Park. More Info


3. Explore Our Parks

We are home to the Melville Regional Park, six playgrounds, two downtown parks, and four school playgrounds! More Info


4. Take a Silhouette Tour

Spread throughout the city are 40 silhouettes created by local artists to capture important moments in time. More Info


5. Take Your 4-legged Friends to the Dog Park

Melville is home to a beautiful fenced dog park featuring shady trees, a double-secure gate, and picnic tables. More Info


6. Go Swimming

In 2022, the brand new swimming pool opened featuring a beach-entry and toddler water features, diving board, lane swimming, and a two-story waterslide. More Info


7. Try Youth Fishing at the Trout Pond

The trout pond is a man-made pond created by the Melville Fish and Game League to provide children 12 and under with a free place to try out fishing. 


8. Test out the Disc Golf Course

Disc Golf is similar to regular golf except it is played with specific frisbees that are designed to curve around trees, shoot straight down the fairway, or go the distance. More Info

With two great, fenced tennis courts located in the Regional Park, it is easy to pick up a game of tennis or pickle ball in the community. More Info

Improve your batting skill at the Terry Puhl Batting Cages located by the Melville Swimming Pool. More Info

13. Visit City Hall

This building is full of history, including Melville's Opera Hall, photos of Melville's City Council from 1910-present, and more. 


14. Practice your Kickflip

Located on the corner of 7th Ave East and Prince Edward St. is Melville's Skatepark, featuring smooth asphalt, ramps, and rails to practice your skills.


15. Visit the Railway Museum

16. Practice Skating

During the winter months, check out one of the various outdoor rinks spread throughout our city's parks. In the summer months, enjoy our indoor ice surface at the Horizon Credit Union Centre when free public skating times are offered. More Info


17. Puddle Jump at the Spray Park

Located at the Kinsmen Park on the corner of 7th Ave West and Queen Street, the spray park is an accessible fun time!

22. Explore the 18-hole Golf Course

23. Head out on the Trail

Besides the beautiful scenery, the Melville Dam is also home to a walking trail leading around the area and over the Melville Creek. More Info


24. Go for a Ride on the Showstoppers Snowmobiles Trail

Spread throughout the surrounding area is a popular snowmobile course over sloping fields, through prairie forest, and across open country-side. More Info


25. Play some Basketball

All you need is a ball! Stop by the Kinsmen Park to test out the basketball court and hoops. 


26. Go for a Walk at the HCUC

On those cold, snowy, and/or rainy days, the CN Community Centre's indoor walking track is the perfect way to get your steps in without enduring the weather. More Info

Visit the Remax Curling Arena located in the same building as the Melville Golf and Country Club to hone your skills. More Info
