Melville is home to multiple ball diamonds spread throughout the city including youth diamonds for the Melville Minor Ball Association (MMBA), along with Pirie Field, a professional Major League ball diamond, pictured above. All diamonds are maintained by volunteers from the MMBA.
The diamonds are used throughout the baseball season for practices and games. Every summer, minor ball teams from Saskatchewan are invited to the annual Melville Minor Ball Tournament. This tournament is widely successful as it is attended by dozens of teams from Saskatoon, Weyburn, Yorkton, and other centres who spend the weekend in the city enjoying the tournament and our amenities.
Pirie Field is no longer in use as a Major Ball League Diamond.
