New Carbon Monoxide Alarm Requirements - NOVEMBER 1, 2026

Did you know? Beginning November 1, 2026, Henry’s Law will require carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in all residential suites across Saskatchewan.

The legislation is named in honour of Henry Losco, who tragically passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning in December 2025.

🏠 Homeowners, landlords and building owners are encouraged to review the new requirements and ensure their properties comply.

The Province has also introduced additional flexibility for certain buildings equipped with fire alarm systems, allowing interconnected CO detectors to be used instead of individual CO alarms under specific circumstances.
